here comes a nurse, a chipper young man, ready with a wheelchair to take Ingo for more testing and examinations]

[ Emmet gets up, moving out of the way, taking little sneasel bb with him gently. ]

[nods at that, a bit anxious about it but not arguing]

Alright. Try to get some rest, Emmet. See you soon.

[and out the room he goes to get poked and prodded and put in the big metal tube]

[ Emmet makes a few calls and texts — mostly placing a grocery order for later and getting private security going, as well as reaching out to his lawyer to get paperwork stuff happening.

So no. He does not rest while Ingo is getting poked and prodded. ]

[its several hours before Ingo is wheeled back to the room. But!! He's out his hospital gown, in the clothes he had arrived in since he didn't have anything else to wear. He looks very tired and a bit stressed, but also excited because...]

Emmet, I've been cleared for release!

That's wonderful! Everything was in order?

[ He stands up, walking over. He'd gather his things except all he really has is his coat, since he came straight from Gear Station and hasn't left since. ]

There were signs of previous injury but nothing too concerning for the present. They've also done me the courtesy of obtaining medication for my pain while my injuries are healing as well as providing me anxiety medication while things are prone to being. Overstimulating.

I should be good for the month with what I have and we've scheduled a followup in a few weeks.

I do need you to sign papers for me however as I'm still legally not a person.

[the nurse passes over a clipboard, going over all the places to sign, mentioning that unfortunately uh insurance can't cover this but he can contact the hospital later in regards to negotiating the billing

theres a handy list of all the medications they've put Ingo on, a note on when the followup exam is, just all the handy useful things]

[ Because in addition to whatever they had before, Emmet's certainly been working overtime the last three and a half years. It's fine. But also, fuck Unovan health insurance sometimes, man.

He signs in a few different spots. ]

the nurse is now 100% distracted from Emmet, looking at the sneasel, making a high pitched noise of DELIGHT]

[ finishing up with all the dumb paperwork, handing back what he needs to hand back. ]

[the nurse takes the clipboard back, one last squeal about the sneasel and agreeing with Emmet. And then.

"Okay, lets get you two out of here without causing a scene."

Time to sneak two subway bosses out the back where they have banned the press. while they're as close as they can be without getting in trouble, they are at least at a distance]

[ He managed to call a car over. Nice, discrete, no one looking in. ]

[you guys get to keep the wheelchair for Ingo--the nurse explains that with busted ribs he should NOT be on crutches which just makes Ingo grumble. But. Into the car Ingo goes, not fussing about the nurse giving him a hand]

[ Emmet folds the wheelchair up and puts it in the back before giving the nurse a wave and getting in next to Ingo. ]

[ The driver nods and starts off. here we gooooo. ]
