[One day in Unova, the sky opened up.
And dropped out a muppet of a man in tattered conductor's clothing. He hits the ground amid a crowd and instantly a lot is going on. Some people rushing to help him up, to check for injuries. Some calling the police. Some recording the rip in the sky.
And others recording the man, tweeting out that amazing thing that had just occurred.
holy shit a guy fell out the sky
ITS RAINING MEN?! HALLELUJAH???
I can't believe my theory that Ingo was buried in a landfill has been proven wrong like this #FindIngo #FoundIngo???

[ His voice trails off, like he doesn't want to finish that thought. ]
I'm just. Verrrry glad you are back.

but. it does look like its an area blocked off from prying eyes.]

It is okay. We are safe here. They will take care of you, and I am not going anywhere.

Ingo still not letting go of Emmet's hand though]

[ He squeezes Ingo's hand gently. ]

[welp
very well then. Time for Emmet to watch his brother be examined then. All those clothes? They gotta come off. And under them...whew. Ingo has been through Something. He's very scarred up. And. The doctor is taking pictures, apologizing.
The police will need these though.
And Ingo is Very Uncomfortable with that but does not put up an argument either. There's a lot of fuss over those scars, measuring the marks and such. Then the tending to the newer injuries. He's getting fully x-rayed oop.
Then a cast for his leg, a brace for his foot. The shoulder gets popped back into its socket. The ribs. Well. Just have to rest for those, though he's given painkillers.
There's some chatter about scheduling scans later--to check if Ingo's brain has taken any damage. After all--simple questions about the current day are ones that Ingo can't seem to answer]

So he sits there and watches quietly, strangely patient, ever present smile never leaving his face. When he can, he reaches over to take Ingo's hand, to remind him that he's right there.
And in a way, it's a relief, because the doctors will get the ball rolling with the police. And it turns out, there's so much documentation online on how Ingo literally appeared out of thin air that no one can really argue with how bizarre the whole situation is.
He taps away at his phone while the doctors examine Ingo and run their tests, trying to gather his thoughts and figure out what exactly needs to be done. Turns out, searching for "how to get police to declare someone not dead" doesn't turn up a lot of good results. ]

its done and they're being shuffled to a room. and its nice and private, a comfy chair right next to the bed. and Ingo is being helped in and
and finally
the two of them are truly Alone for the first time]
This...has all been a lot.

holding on]
Emmet, you look like you need your own bed. Shouldn't you rest?
no subject
[ just. clinging to him, like he's reassuring himself that Ingo is really real. ]

I.
I am finally here.

He cries for awhile, pressing his forehead against Ingo's in disbelief before sliding down to bury his face against his chest and just let out all the grief that's been building up over the last three and a half years. He's shaking, more overcome with emotion than he's ever been in his life. ]

but
he really is just so happy. this is what he fought to get back to. and it really was worth it. leaving Hisui behind was more than worth it. this is where he belongs]
I've missed you so much. I missed you even when I didn't know who I was missing. I felt it. An ache in my chest all the time.
Being with you again is all I have wanted.

It was difficult to get myself back here and I had more information than you have had.
Giratina brought me to another time. Another place.
How were you suppose to know that?

Emmet.
You did not fail me or disappoint me.

but he nods slowly, sniffling. ]

I'm sorry I took so long.
