[One day in Unova, the sky opened up.
And dropped out a muppet of a man in tattered conductor's clothing. He hits the ground amid a crowd and instantly a lot is going on. Some people rushing to help him up, to check for injuries. Some calling the police. Some recording the rip in the sky.
And others recording the man, tweeting out that amazing thing that had just occurred.
holy shit a guy fell out the sky
ITS RAINING MEN?! HALLELUJAH???
I can't believe my theory that Ingo was buried in a landfill has been proven wrong like this #FindIngo #FoundIngo???

So he sits there and watches quietly, strangely patient, ever present smile never leaving his face. When he can, he reaches over to take Ingo's hand, to remind him that he's right there.
And in a way, it's a relief, because the doctors will get the ball rolling with the police. And it turns out, there's so much documentation online on how Ingo literally appeared out of thin air that no one can really argue with how bizarre the whole situation is.
He taps away at his phone while the doctors examine Ingo and run their tests, trying to gather his thoughts and figure out what exactly needs to be done. Turns out, searching for "how to get police to declare someone not dead" doesn't turn up a lot of good results. ]

holding on]
Emmet, you look like you need your own bed. Shouldn't you rest?

[ just. clinging to him, like he's reassuring himself that Ingo is really real. ]

I.
I am finally here.

He cries for awhile, pressing his forehead against Ingo's in disbelief before sliding down to bury his face against his chest and just let out all the grief that's been building up over the last three and a half years. He's shaking, more overcome with emotion than he's ever been in his life. ]

but
he really is just so happy. this is what he fought to get back to. and it really was worth it. leaving Hisui behind was more than worth it. this is where he belongs]
I've missed you so much. I missed you even when I didn't know who I was missing. I felt it. An ache in my chest all the time.
Being with you again is all I have wanted.

It was difficult to get myself back here and I had more information than you have had.
Giratina brought me to another time. Another place.
How were you suppose to know that?

Emmet.
You did not fail me or disappoint me.

Emmet, your phone. Can you check if there was another incident similar to mine today?

[ pulling back just a bit from Ingo reluctantly, getting his phone out. ]
Should I be searching for anything specific?

"Sinnoh Champion falls from the sky" . . .?

Good. I'm glad.

[ He lowers his phone, looking back at Ingo. ]
What's going on?

I...forgot many things when I first arrived there. I fell from the sky there as I had here.
That is the source of at least some of my scars.
She fared better.
As things became more clear and more was learned we worked together to bring ourselves back to where we belong.
[beckoning with a finger and the lil sneasel that was hiding in Emmet's coat skitters out to sit on the edge of the bed, letting Ingo pet]
Though we brought proof of where we were with us.

[ That part's slowly sinking in and it's. well. it's kind of horrifying. ]

I knew there was a man who looked like me I longed to see. And a partner in battle with flames. Those were the first things I remembered. And my words--I still spoke of trains and the subway without knowing what those were.
It was frustrating. I was always trying to reach for things in my mind I couldn't grasp.
Then.
One day I saw you.
